Global Purchasing Solutions Limited is a Partnership business which traces its' roots back to 1994 when the two Senior Partners first began working together in a fast-moving industry supplying a range of printed, decorative and gift items to major retailers in the UK and, later, globally. GPS was first registered in 2009 and is located in South Wales.
Neil Harris has worked in print, packaging and product development businesses for over 20 years since leaving college and has a thorough knowledge of packaging design and methodology, paper, polypropylene extrusion and the development of these items from global supply sources to serve the fmcg industry.
Peter Lunt spent several years in the RAF after which he became Group Contracts Manager in the HQ of a major engineering company in Birmingham that later transferred him to his present location in South Wales. Here he moved into the more retail orientated world and soon began working with Neil. Peter’s ‘specialities’ include paper and board, engineering supplies, fuels and lubricants and Far East sourcing.
Both Neil and Peter are CIPS qualified.
Our Associate Members are professional purchasing and commercial people that the directors of GPS have worked with for many years situated around the globe. All are entirely trustworthy and capable of carrying out the job to our standards and give 100% effort and commitment whilst maintaining professional and ethical standards. All associates have their own non-conflicting independent business interests but are completely dedicated to the objectives of GPS. Associates are based in the UK, Eastern Europe, India, Singapore, China, Philippines and the USA. Several of our Associates are local nationals, which is immensely helpful in understanding regional issues.
